Mother Moon

What do you see
when you look at the moon
is it a symbol to be
or the midnights noon
A gentle floating body
silver shimmering rings
she dances unwillingly
but voice, loudly sings
Mother moon, mother moon
beware the four fingers
they grasp way too soon
refusing your light lingers
Mother moon your heeded
the fingers from beyond
enjoy your last stand
your brightness is fond
What do I believe
when I look at the moon
I believe in my future
to have not reached noon
